We would like to announce that our next production will be "The Tempest" from Starshine Musicals

This musical is based on Shakespeare's play of the same name takes the traditional story and turns it into a school's musical written in modern English. We welcome back Janet McGroggan as Director and Lilian Atkinson as Musical Director for this show.

Please keep an eye on the website for information regarding performance dates and venue. Information about auditions, rehearsals, and casting will be posted in the Members Area later in the rehearsal process.

21st December 2013

Over the past 3 months we have been rehearsing for "The Story of Peter Pan and Wendy", and this weekend marked the end of the production.

We first performed on the 15th December at High Legh Village Hall, where the crowd enjoyed their annual Christmas production, followed by a selection of Christmas Carols including a sing-along of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas".

The second performance was on the 21st December at our usual rehearsal venue Knutsford Leisure Centre. The audience were once again entertained with the story of the children who just don't want to grow up, featuring songs from family favourite musicals such as Oliver!, The Sound of Music, and High School Musical.

Both performance were performed to sell out crowds to whom we give our thanks for supporting us.

Finally, we would like to wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our cast, leaders and supporters out there.

See you in the New Year!

So yesterday marked the end of another successful year for KMYT, starting off by seeing the name change from KYDDS to KMYT, as well as a change of rehearsal venue to Knutsford Leisure Centre. We also welcomed Faye Chadwick as choreographer for the year, who did an outstanding job and we wish her well into the future.

The christmas show was Roald Dahl's Snow White, and although we only had a small cast of 10, the kids did themselves proud and put on 2 performances, firstly at Mobberley Victory Hall and one at High Legh Village Hall. One of the audience members at the High Legh performance descibed it as "the best £6 I have spent all Christmas" which is credit to all involved.

After the adult group's production of Oliver! had finished, KMYT began rehearsing for their next production, this time being Dazzle. We also saw an increase in numbers to 20, with a number of the new members coming from Fagin's Gang in Oliver! The show was also the first time we had performed at Knutsford Leisure Centre, and it proved to be a fantastic venue as the kids loved performing there.

We held our after show party at the Leisure Centre, and as is custom handed out a number of awards. They are as follows:

  • Lisa McGroggan
  • Katy Allan
  • Erin Done
  • Esme Perry
